my brother bought a used car and it smells. but when they sold it to him it didn’t smell. where can i get a free carfax report without paying. they had just detailed it

There are several sources for car history
- State DMVs. Very slow to respond. They only have details on registrations and brands – when a car has major damage a brand is added. Also, they will only have data for one state – if the car has moved they can’t help you. Fees vary by state.

The best source is Carfax. They collect data from over 8000 sources – and still they don’t have everything. However, it’s the most comprehensive source.

For free – since it costs the DMVs and Carfax – nobody provides it for free.

When dealers buy Carfax reports they pay a price that allows them to redistribute the report – so ask the dealer. You’ll find thousands for free on Cars and AutoTrader.

yes they do, there are signs telling you where to go to get on the shuttle…….every airport had one that i have used

Will not be reaching airport until 12:45 am saturday morning. if I change the timings for pick up although later, the price is doubled. So how will my final price be calculated. Whether it will be based on what time I actually picked and dropped or the timings on my reservations.

Should not be an issue unless the location closes at midnight. That would be the first thing I would check.

Your current reservation rate will still be valid, you do not need to change. I would double check your times and rates when picking up. If something changes make them adjust it.

It’s about a mile, I guess. However, if you rent a car, you take the shuttle (located outside baggage claim) to the car lot to get the car. Then you drop the car off at the lot and take the shuttle back to the airport. Make sure you know which airline you’re taking so that you get on the correct shuttle going back to the airport!

EDIT: the rental car agency provides the shuttle service for free as a courtesy to people who rent their cars.

When I travel to the US from New Zealand, we go to either Dollar, Thrifty or Alamo, depending on their mini-van specials. We never have to pay for an additional driver. However, they usually must aslo have a credit card unless a spouse. Sometimes if you talk nice I have seen them waive that requirement at the counter.
