Discounts for renting a car for 40 days in 20 different towns?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Hello,

I expect to be doing a lot of travelling soon. I will visit about 20 destinations in North America, and I will need to rent a car at each one. Would you know of any big car rental franchise that would give me a big discount for renting cars from them for a total of 40 days, in 20 different towns?

Thanks!

Call your travel agent and have them set up a multi-city reservation through their reservation system so you get the multi-day rate and you can switch companies to find the cheapest in the specific location you are in. You have to do this thru a travel agent (the rental agencies dont make as much money doing this and it isn’t something Orbitz or Expedia can do)

What kind of rental car will i get for $20 a day?

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

My poor car was smashed by a van yesterday and my insurance company will pay $20 dollars a day for a rental car.

I heard somewhere that rental car places give insurance companies discounts on their rental cars…..i dont know.

Do you think $20 will cover a midsize car????
My family is too big for a compact car and im just trying to figure out how much more im going to have to pay if anything when i get the car tomorrow.

Thanks in Advance!

It is sad that your insurance company does not give you a fair rental price when you pay for that feature in your policy.

Try going to www.rentawreck.com/ and see if they have a place near you. Since they do not buy new cars, the rental charges are far less and you will be able to get a car that accommodates you.

I would also call my insurance agent and ask them how they expect you to get a car for $20. They may have a place that gives them a special discount. But I would expect and Aveo or the like for that price.

im in stockton ca and need a car rental for tomorrow to imperial vally ca are there any discounts available?

Is there any one at (corporate) Chrysler or Dodge I can talk to about rental car Reimbursement?

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

My car has a defective paint job and Chrysler agreed to paint the vehicle over because it is still under warranty, but they didnt provide me with a courtesy car for the week or two that its going to take to complete the job. Is there anyone that i can speak with at Chrysler/Dodge corporate offices regarding reimbursement for the rental costs? The dealership says that they dont issue out courtesy cars…just discount services at rental car agencies.

Your best bet it to talk to the service manager. If you get not results, ask for the field manager. If that gets no results, go to the district manager, and so on and so on. Someone should make sure you are not out-of-pocket for this

I’m looking for promotion codes for discounts at rental car companies. Any suggestions?

How do you get discounts on hotels or car rentals?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

It seems everytime I try to get a hotel/motel room or rent a car the price is extreme. I don’t like to be a slave to reservations and deposits because it complicates life if you need to change or cancel reservations. I find it hard to believe that working class people will spend more than 150 dollars a night a hotel and I don’t like to spend more than 70 dollars a night but still I think that is extreme. Maybe corporate accounts get big discounts? I previously worked at Boeing and their corporate discount was only ten percent I think.

And renting cars, that is obvious when they rob you. I always like to rent a towncar and I got them for as low as 65 bucks a day but other times they try to charge 120 bucks. I know it matters what day of the week you rent. One day standing at a rental car counter they said i could not get a better rate without a reservation so I wrote down their telephone number and walked twenty feet away and took my cell phone out made a reservation and walked back

make a reservation and it is cheaper

Low cost car rental in San Diego for underage driver?

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

I am a 20 year old student at SDSU in San Diego, and need to find a cheap rate for a car rental. Any one know of a discount car rental place that will rent to underage drivers? I’ve been turned down by everyone because I am under 25 years old.

I’ve rented from Sensible car rental. They’re close to SDSU (over by the Ralphs at Montezuma Rd) and actually have have really nice cars and really cheap prices.

I think they are at:
